The Walk Out is a demonstration of freedom of assembly and mobility by a public assemblage determined to walk out of the city.
The first Walk Out took place August 23rd 2008 in New York City. We met at Union Square at noon, and walked north along Broadway for three days to Croton-Point-Park. In the beginning there were multitudes, by the second day thirteen, and at the end seven souls went into the river. It was an exodus become pilgrimage. We made a fire and slept on the Point.
The next Walk Out is scheduled for summer 2009.
